Hi guys,
It has been literally forever since i blogged. Laziness is the main reason besides lack of inspiration, cause i don’t like the idea of myself being too busy…
During this “idle” time, i finished my first book ever title “Introduction to Google Adwords”. In this book, i explained everything from the concept of Google Adwords i.e. Search Engine Marketing to how to set up an account and track/optimize it.
The content of the book was done. Now it’s going through the final edit before publishing in Jul by an publisher in Australia. It will only be in ebook format though. I will keep you all posted on this.
Also, i started teaching digital marketing night course at a leading marketing institution with the hope that somehow it will help to uplift the level of understanding in the marketplace of online. We include website, web analytics, search engine marketing, display advertising, social media, email marketing, mobile marketing together with instructions on how to create a good online marketing plan in the curriculum.
I also involve with orgainizing/planning for “Web Wednesday Vietnam“. In 2010, we already had two Web Wednesdays, one in Mar and another one in May. Right now, we are thinking about having it once every two months, instead of once per month like Singapore. For those who don’t know about Web Wednesday, it’s simply a place for like-minded people to meet, network, have fun and of course learn something new about the industry. We’ve covered Vietnamese Online statistical report from Cimigo and Mobile marketing by Pudding Media so far.
There are a couple of more exciting news that i want to share with you all as well but may be next week when the website is live. In particular, there will be one organization in Vietnam that helps to:
- Develop and promote industry standards that make interactive advertising a simpler and more attractive medium for agencies, advertisers and marketers
- Demonstrate the effectiveness of interactive advertising to advertisers, agencies, marketers, and the press
- Promote best practices amongst marketers and publishers
