Knora 1.2 Is on the App Store

Knora 1.2 is live: fifteen English voices, four accents, a deleted style axis, and two audio defects fixed. The joke now lives in the voice.

Knora 1.2 is live on the App Store.

If you tried 1.1 and the voices felt flat, this is the update. The English cast is rebuilt: fifteen voices across American, British, South African and Indian accents. The style axis is gone. The voice is the style now.

I also fixed two audio defects that every automated test said were fine. One made the model read every line twice. The other put a click at the start of every clip. Both were invisible in the transcript and the test suite. I caught them by listening.

That is the short version. The longer version — why the old cast failed, what the selector got wrong, and why a green suite is not a product — is in The Voice Is the Joke.

Knora is 18+ — strong language and adult themes — and it is free, with no account and no microphone. You shake or tap, a short bit plays end to end, and then the phone goes back down. No feed, no algorithm, nothing else to look at. The interface is in English, Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese; the voices are English, Vietnamese and Mandarin.

Try Knora 1.2 on the App Store.

If a bit does not land, tell me. The whole app is the joke.
