Google 喺新加坡用 Offline 廣告

連 Google 呢間靠 word-of-mouth 成功嘅公司都用 offline 廣告——佢哋嘅新加坡 campaign 揭示咗 AdWords 喺亞洲嘅滲透程度。

直到大約一個月前,我從來冇見過 Google 嘅 offline 廣告。雖然 Google 已經成為地球上最成功嘅公司之一,佢到目前為止喺傳統 marketing medium 上面花得好少。呢個可能就係我之前喺新加坡從來冇見過 Google 任何 offline 廣告嘅原因。

直到大約一個月前,當世界各地嘅 marketers 提到 Google 411 offline 廣告出現喺公路上,我先開始留意到 Google 嘅 offline 廣告。

令我覺得有趣嘅係 Google 嘅 10 things 或者佢哋嘅核心哲學,其中第一條就係佢哋想「Focus on the user and all else will follow」 Google 搜索引擎嘅受歡迎程度幾乎唔係因為任何 marketing 努力,而係 word of mouth advertising。人覺得 Google 搜索引擎有用,佢哋可以更快搵到嘢,唔需要 browse 好多頁廣告先見到 natural search results。

見到 Google 用 offline 廣告推廣 Google 411(基本上係一個語音本地搜索服務)之後,我見到 Google 另一個廣告。今次係新加坡嘅 :D 而且係關於 Adwords。

個廣告係喺 Digital Media magazine 上面,主要喺新加坡同香港出版。

廣告內容如下:

睇完呢個 offline 廣告,可以推斷到幾樣嘢:

  • 首先對 SEM agency 同 professional 嚟講,見到呢個廣告你可以大概估到 Google Ads 喺新加坡同東南亞嘅滲透程度。由訊息內容同需要喺雜誌落 offline 廣告就知。

  • Google 喺新加坡同香港嘅 sales managers 係邊個,好明顯 :D

  • 由 email 你可以見到 Google 的確設咗專用 email 嚟 track 呢個 offline 廣告嘅效果 :D。啊 duh,佢哋都想知自己嘅 ROI。

  • 等等……

Google 之前可能喺雜誌落過幾次 offline 廣告嚟推廣 Adwords 喺新加坡,但呢個係我第一次見到,如果呢個對你嚟講唔算大新聞,請見諒 :D

我深入搵咗下,發現之前 Google 落 offline 廣告嘅時候,主要係為咗請人,唔係推廣佢嘅廣告平台。

下面係一個例子:

一塊 billboard 叫你解一道數學題:搵出 e 嘅連續數字中第一個10位質數。如果你去咗個 site 然後答到其他複雜問題,你就會被帶到 Google 嘅求職網站。(來自 Google Operating System)

另外要注意嘅係 Google 啱啱宣佈第三季收入比2006年第三季增長57%,比2007年第二季增長9%!!!好驚人嘅數字,而且唔似 Yahoo 或 Microsoft 或好多其他公司,Google 喺2006年只花咗收入嘅8%喺 sales 同 marketing 上面。你可以參考 Associated Press 嘅好文章「Google sells ads but won't spend much on them」了解更多。

順便講,Google 嘅股價而家喺 USD $643.00 左右交易,已經唔再係 USD $600.00 喇
