以下描述嘅 Google Gen AI agent 已經唔再active。 喺試咗 Google 嘅現成solution之後，我最後自己build咗一個叫Sydney嘅 AI assistant，佢可以真正synthesize成486篇 blog posts 嘅內容。原來，我一直想要嘅嘢——基於我實際寫嘅嘢嘅nuanced答案——需要自己build先得。仲喺寫code，仲喺學。

2023年8月，我用 Google Cloud Gen App Builder 整合咗 Google 嘅 generative AI agent。以下係我由呢個經驗中學到嘅。

以下係我對setup/整合過程嘅初步印象

• 成個過程相當快同直覺。
• 驗證ownership：我需要同 Google 驗證我擁有呢個網站，等 Google 嘅 crawlers 可以 crawl 公開嘅內容。我鍾意呢步，因為佢防止abuse——人哋用其他人嘅網站嚟create agents。
• 免費credit好受歡迎！Google 俾咗我：
  • $1000 免費credit嚟試 Gen App Builder。
  • $600 免費credit嚟試 Dialogflow CX trial。
  • 兩個都需要用嚟build chat app。
  • 呢啲credit係自動俾嘅，冇需要我ask，所以好appreciate！多謝 Google :D
• 上線時間相對短：我嘅網站內容唔多所以 crawler 唔使2個鐘就完成咗index我嘅site。
• 超容易整合到現有網站：literally只係copy and paste code。我暫時冇太大改動 agent 嘅外觀，因為default嘅對我嚟講已經夠好。

我去customize咗 Generative AI 設定嚟確保佢符合我嘅需要。

Grounding confidence

我喺 High confidence、Medium confidence 同 Low confidence 之間switch嚟switch去，因為我唔確定邊個最好。因為我寫過同一個topic好多次，我想要嘅係chatbot可以synthesize我寫過嘅內容同提供nuanced嘅答案。我唔確定邊個設定適合呢個目的？

我用咗我喺 ChatGPT custom instructions入面嘅嘢「thoughtful, creative, provide nuanced answers.」

我對agent答案嘅初步印象

我試咗問agent一啲問題，答案質素參差。我唔確定答案質素會唔會隨時間改善。

例如，我問咗以下嘅問題，答案唔太好。

• Tell me about the latest 10 articles on this website?
  • 答案：I'm sorry, I don't have access to the last 10 articles on this website. How can I help you today?
  • Chandler嘅評語：呢個答案好奇怪，因為 AI 可以access所有內容。
• What does Chandler think about Kevin Rudd?
  • 答案：While I don't have a good frame of reference to agree or disagree strongly with what Kevin shared, I find his talk insightful.
  • Chandler嘅評語：呢個答案尚算OK。但提供嘅reference link唔具代表性。

• Does Chandler write about Ray Dalio often?
  • 答案：Yes, chandler nguyen blog has written about Ray Dalio.
  • Chandler嘅評語：我期望 AI 講多好多關於我寫過 Ray Dalio 嘅嘢，或者好似我每季寫兩次佢嘅分享咁嘅detail。

但當我問更specific嘅問題，好似：

• what is Chandler's advice about high-yield saving accounts for expats?
• how about health insurance?
• How about treasury direct website?

呢啲問題嘅答案似乎好好多。

用咗幾日後嘅印象

而家我問咗 bot 更多問題，我整體嘅印象係答案質素可以改善。Gen AI chatbot 似乎唔係「synthesize」我網站嘅內容然後提供答案，而係simply嘗試喺之前嘅寫作中搵某啲phrases然後提供回覆。呢個係我基於同 bot 對話嘅 educated guess。

我guess呢種approach對於想提供specific答案嘅行業可能OK——嗰度有database而且內容唔太變或有「source of truth」。但對於blog，我希望bot會真正synthesize成個網站嘅內容，然後基於唔同時間發表嘅唔同文章提供nuanced嘅答案。可能我要求太多？:P 但呢個係我嘅期望。

仲有，bot似乎跟唔上最新嘅內容。例如，我幾個月前改咗我介紹自己嘅方式，但你問「Who is Chandler Nguyen?」，答案仲係好based on之前嘅內容，用我之前嘅job title。

最後，我仲export咗過去15年所有發表嘅 posts 同成功upload咗做 chatbot app 嘅 data source。我唔確定呢個有冇幫助。如果UI可以show到有冇幫助就好。
