Why have two agents when you can combine them into one? This way, you (the reader of this blog) can just use a single agent and do more with it. So, over yesterday evening, I did just that. I combined the previous agent, which could only answer questions about what I’ve written over the past 15 years, with the S&P500 agent.
Meet Sydney: The New Agent
Sydney is now a multi-talented agent capable of:
- Answering questions about the current S&P 500 companies, including what they’ve submitted to the SEC over the last 10 years.
- Providing insights from my 15 years of blog content.
The link is here. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

P.S: For those who are curious, I basically used the S&P500 agent as the base and then just gave it another tool (blog content retrieval) to use. Simple, yet effective!
P.P.S: More than 1 year ago, when I first introduced the chatbot for my blog, I said that it was over kill at that point to use the agent approach from langchain but it is my intention to add more tools to the agent over time. So now, the first additional tool is added 🙂
What do you think about this combined agent approach? Have you tried Sydney yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences in the comments below!
